Care Ministry at City Calvary Chapel

  • The Meals Ministry provides meals for those in our church family who are in difficult or challenging situations that would be blessed by a home cooked or purchased meal. We believe this is a vital resource as it constitutes an outward expression of care and concern by the members of this ministry to those in need. Our goal is not only to lighten the burdens of those in need, but to allow them to experience the love of Christ through the ministry efforts.
  • The Visitation Ministry is committed to caring for the needs of our church body through their physical presence. Their purpose is to visit and pray over those who are preparing for surgery, those who are in an illness at home. Our purpose is to provide encouragement and support through our physical presence and prayer and to be a tangible resource that represents the care and concern of CCC as well as the love of Christ that is demonstrated through us.
  • Sending Greeting Cards is a new part of the Care Ministry. Its purpose is to reach out to individuals who are hurting and in need, expressing the love of God through words of encouragement and Scripture. Our desire is that God would use the cards and sentiments to bring comfort, courage, strength, and hope to those who are going through difficulties such as illness, loss of job, or other personal loss. Cards of congratulations also go out to families who have just welcomed a new baby into their home.
  • His Pantry: We are collecting non-perishable food items until His Pantry Food Bank is stocked. Then we will invite the community (immediate neighbors) to come and receive food on a pre-determined week day.  Want to get involved? Prayer Ministry at City Calvary Chapel

The Prayer Ministry is committed to prayer and intercession for the needs of City Calvary. In so doing, we share the burdens of those who are struggling as they face trials and afflictions such as illness, physical disability, losses, or difficult and uncertain circumstances. As our prayers move the riches of God's supernatural grace and His mercy and power are displayed, we share the ultimate joy of rejoicing and glorifying Him with praise and thanksgiving.

  • Prayer Chain:   E-mail Eric Johnson at ericj@citycalvarychapel.org or fill out the Communication Card found in the back of the chairs in the Sanctuary if you would like prayer from our Prayer Chain. If you are interested in being part of the Prayer Chain please call Eric at (206) 709-9416.
  • Sunday Morning Prayer Services:  There is prayer time each Sunday morning at 9:30 AM (before service) held in the Prayer Room.  Please join us!  If you would like to be prayed for after service, please come to the front of the sanctuary and our prayer team will pray with you.
  • Thursday Pray Service We offer a mid-week prayer time every Thursday afternoon from 12:00 - 1:00 PM in the Library.  Please join us!
  • Sanctuary: The second Sunday of every month we have a special time of worship and prayer we call Sanctuary. Come and seek the Lord with each other in the body. We begin at 7:00 pm in the Sanctuary.
