Welcome to Seattle Christian Homeschool Co-op! We are glad you are part of our community and hope you find the co-op a place where minds are developed, hearts are nourished, friendships grow, and the love of the Lord Jesus Christ is magnified.

Seattle Christian Homeschool Co-op is a ministry of City Calvary Chapel and is a member of the First Class Homeschool Ministries co-op network.

We are a mid-size Christian-based co-op serving homeschoolers in north King and south Snohomish counties, although we have member families who come from more distant locations, as well. We began with 10 families and a handful of classes in the fall of 2004 and have grown to more than 40 families with over 130 children in dozens of classes. Our students range from preschool through high school and we offer a nursery for babies of teaching parents.

One thing that sets us apart from other homeschooling groups in the Puget Sound region is that we are a co-op in the true sense of the word “cooperative.” At least one parent from each family is expected to take on teaching or assistant teaching responsibilities during the year and families also help with set-up and clean-up on a rotating basis.

Each class day begins with chapel, led by City Calvary senior pastor, John Aydelott. In addition to classes – which are primarily parent-taught – the co-op offers lunch together in the Fellowship Hall, a parents-only coffee bar, student clubs, “spirit days,” weekly prayer meetings, and special co-op-wide events.
